The façade
Everywhere globally people are preaching that we should learn new things every day. True this is supposed to make us grow every day. How ? some people may ask. Each time we learn something new we reduce our ignorance quotient as I always like to put it. This is a very good thing but what we fail to see is that most of us are already drowning in too much knowledge overload to some point some of us have already developed symptoms of knowledge toxicity. I can already hear you asking me what these symptoms look like. No need to be alarmed since most us already are at the toxic state especially if you have already attained a certain age that I will declare at a later time.
There is a sudden burst need for teaching. Everybody now wants to be a teacher and coincidentally there are plenty of students in need. Funny how nobody wanted to be a teacher when we were selecting our careers back in secondary school. Everybody wanted to be a doctor, an engineer, lawyer even a pilot. The irony of life never ceases to brighten our sun burned lives. One thing that clearly stands out is that most people often overlook the need these life lessons. Yet they are been offered by the many teachers until they hit a wall which blazes their soul to for seek help.
Personally I have gone through these life lessons and they were very inspiring to my thinking. In a time like this I think that we also need teachers who help people unlearn. Yes and by the look of things I may just sign up myself and start an academy for unlearning things in life. Why do I say so? This is because despite the many life schools coming up all over the world, the global population keeps dipping itself in a murk that it may never get out from.
Let me take you back in history with reference to the bible. God made man but punished him for his disobedience. Unfortunately man never learned anything so the next time he faced the flood in Noah’s time… Now the big one came sulphuric flames in Sodom and Gomorrah. Eventually someone had to come and die for mankind. No lessons learned. So what will help man from stop killing his fellow man? We have all types of extremist who claim to want a better life for mankind like the moralist, feminist and so on.
Unlearning seems like the only way that mankind will learn anything. Another example would be a prisoner who has served a jail term. Despite the severe sentencing they get, humiliation and severance from family ties, they will commit another crime and find themselves back in the pit hole. Almost like a lifestyle, if they were to unlearn the wrong or evil they are committing would they learn anything and probably do something else instead like leading a better life? We may never know unless we start engaging the human race in unlearning hence learning something that will improve their lives.
When God made man, didn’t God know that man would disobey? And since God is all knowing so for sure God must have known. Just like God must have known this chap would be a saint and the other a thief. So, why the anger and fire of Sodom and Gomorrah? Why punish people who were not created to be perfect?
